About Me

Jan 2022 -- The common denominator between the sub-sites: Frank & Rita, fobsplace Apps, and O'Brien's St Paddy's Gathering is me, Frank O'Brien.

I'm a semi-retired electrical engineer.  I have a consulting business, providing training to international safety standards for medical electrical equipment. A hobby of mine is programming.

I live with my wife, Rita, in Lisdoonvarna, County Clare, Ireland. We have a holiday home behind our house, which keeps us busy during the summer months.  We both enjoy hosting visitors to what I call, the wild west of Ireland. We also have a downtown Loft in an old mill in Lowell, MA, USA.

We both enjoy going out to hear some Irish traditional music and spending time with Rita's grand kids.  I enjoy exchanging stories over a pint of Guinness, catching up on the Red Sox with 8 min highlights on YouTube, and quiet moments with a cup of coffee, and the internet. I have in mind some robotic and programming projects, but alas perhaps when I'm a bit more retired. I enjoy programming --  it's puzzles and building all in one.
